Responsibilities:
The Web Project Application Developer will work closely with the client, Web developers and the project manager as a team member developing a high quality product, consulting and initiating innovative Web solutions, and contributing to the overall product development process. This person will be responsible for the technical delivery of leading edge web application and e-commerce solutions.
The ideal candidate for this position should have proven skills in web application programming using Perl/Oraperl, Server-side Java, Servlets, CGI, Shell scripting, JavaScript and HTML. This person should also have a strong working knowledge of designing relational databases, understand System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and have experience in architecting dynamic Web application product components and performance tuning.
Qualifications:
- BS/CS in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant experience
- Strong understanding of System Development Life Cycle
- 2 yrs experience as a web engineer developing internet applications using CGI, Java, Servlets, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, Cascading Style Sheets, and Object oriented programming
- Experience in working with relational databases (Oracle, SQL, MS Access)
- Experience in architecting web application product components and integrating design solutions in cross-platform and multiple browser environments
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and document work processes, architecture, implementation and test, plans
- Must have the ability to thrive in a fast paced, delivery-oriented environment and adjust quickly to changing priorities and needs
- Must be able to identify problems and take the lead in resolving issues independently; Communicate issues, concerns, and progress reports using Word or PowerPoint
- Additional skills in XML, Dynamic Web Application Technologies, Cold Fusion and User Interface design a definite PLUS
