Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Web Interface Developer who excels at creating client-side interactions using (X)HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, will join a growing team of developers responsible for all front-end code on a large-scale corporate web site.
Skills/Experience Required:
- 5+ years of XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of browser compatibility issues when using JavaScript and CSS
- Intimate knowledge of current web standards
- Insight on user experience specifications
- Understanding of XSLT (specifically in context of XML to XHTML/JavaScript/CSS)
- Interaction design skills (user flow diagrams and use cases)
- Requirements gathering and analysis skills
- Experience writing and maintaining support documentation
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills
Ideal Candidate also has:
- Visual design skills (ability to create mockups in Photoshop)
- XML-related experience (other than XSL, please be specific)
- XML Schema/DTD experience
- Localization experience
- Mobile experience
- Experience managing projects
- Experience working with CVS
- Experience working with Linux
- Experience working with N-Tier enterprise publishing system(s)
- Working knowledge of Section 508 Requirements
- Working knowledge of Information Architecture
This position requires occasional on-site collaboration with the development team in San Jose, CA.
