MCDONALD’S ASIAN-AMERICAN MONOPOLY CAMPAIGN (IWG)
DESCRIPTION
JWay provided consulting and design services to IW Group, Inc. (IWG) in creating online multimedia marketing materials for McDonald’s Monopoly game targeted to Asian markets. The goals of the project were as follows:
- To enhance the myinspirasian Web site with engaging multimedia splash page promoting McDonald’s Monopoly game
- To enhance home page banner with Monopoly-themed ad
- To redesign MyStory section with new look and feel and functionality
- To create MyStory section for Cavin, Monopoly winner 2007
- To create Flash ad banners for Monopoly campaign in 4 languages
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
The site aims to promote McDonald’s Monopoly campaign within the Asian-American online demographic by providing:
- Images and phrases targeted at Asian American consumers
- Use of concepts familiar to Asian communities
- Enhanced multimedia pages and ads
- Examples in English, Chinese, Korean and Tagalog
- Management and enhancement of existing myinspirasian site
JWay’ SOLUTION
To fulfill project objectives, JWay accomplished the following:
- Designed and built content and images for splash page, including animation, timing, countdown and translated versions of these features
- Designed and built content and images for home page banner including translations
- Designed and built new MyStory section with a special interactive page for Cavin’s story
- Designed and built Flash banner ads in several sizes and languages for the online campaign
- Continue to perform on-site content maintenance and site updates as an on-going engagement.
RESULTS
The Web campaign was interactive, engaging and targeted. The Web-based ads became part of a nationwide Web, print and television campaign during McDonald’s Monopoly game promotion. JWay continued to provide updates and designs to the myinspirasian Web site, including ads promoting the Dollar Menu and McNuggets campaigns.
