ELEARNING MEDIA PRODUCER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Elearning Media Producer (EMP) is responsible for development and rapid delivery of state-of-the art, complete, end-to-end, Web-enabled learning solutions in the form of and self-paced online learning tools customized to meet specific enterprise customer needs for JWay’s ELearn@Work team.

The EMP must apply solid task analysis and front-end skills to identify and address learner objectives and priorities, while designing and developing attention grabbing elearning media to meet those needs.

Engagements will require the EMP to evaluate existing course material for appropriate conversion to elearning by developing appropriate structure, design and production plans for each project.

The EMP will edit content to support course learning goals and objectives; review deliverables for completeness, compliance with standards, and consistency with detailed design plans. The EMP may collaborate with or provide oversight to a team of multimedia developers.


SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • EMP must have excellent project coordination skills, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be able to work with little supervision. EMP must follow directions, use professional judgment and work with existing instructional design standards and processes. Excellent work ethic, self-starter, attention to detail and development skills are crucial.
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 5 yrs combined experience in media-based graphic design, elearning, Web development and rapid course production. Hands-on work experience in the production and maintenance of blended IT learning for both live and self-paced elearning solutions (e.g., audio, video, animation production, streaming, file size compression, optimization, and internationalization) is a critical requirement.
  • Web-based training design and development
  • Information Mapping Theory/Concept/Software
  • Instructional Design Theory/Application
  • Exceptional communication skills (Writing, Reading, Speaking, Listening)
  • Project management skills
  • Hands-on experience with web, Captivate (preferred) and other multimedia development tools (e.g. Breeze, Camtasia, Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Intermediate-level web skills to develop with HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • Knowledge and proven practical application of MS Office Suite, incl. MS Project, Visio
  • Experience implementing SCORM and AICC standards for Web-based training

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE ALSO HAS:

  • Experience in web globalization/internationalization
  • Experience as a technical writer
  • Experience, foundation and insight into relevant and applicable aspects of Web 2.0 in an elearning environment (tools and infrastructure)

LOCATION:

This position requires on-site collaboration with a development team in San Jose, CA.
