ACCOUNT/PROJECT MANAGER
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Account/Project Manager (A/PM) is responsible for the overall delivery of client-partner strategic initiatives including planning, coordination and implementation of project plans in a managed service setting. The A/PM is responsible for developing a project plan and ensuring that development milestones are met. The project plan incorporates the entire life cycle of a project and includes defining a strategy, developing a prototype, designing, quality assurance testing, implementation, and technical support and direction. The A/PM must ensure that the project implementation is consistent with the specifications, client’s requirements and budget constraints. The A/PM will act as the primary interface between JWay and the client, and will identify, document and manage client expectations for deliverables throughout the project life cycle. A/PM will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Web Development Project Consultants and/or other resources (on-shore and off-shore) engaged in the given projects. This includes identifying task lists, communicating the requirements, and ensuring proper documentation of time, materials and workflow. The A/PM must be able to handle multiple projects at a time.
PRE-SALE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analysis of customer inquiries to determine scope and services required and pricing schedules
- Influencing production and delivery schedules
- Recommending price changes based on company/customer relationship
- Recognizing new business opportunities
POST-SALE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Resolving production scheduling, delivery or invoicing problems
- Determining validity of warranty claims and scheduling repair resources
- Changing production and delivery schedules
- Recognizing add-on business opportunities
The A/PM may also be asked to assist develop and implement business plans and strategic marketing programs to increase sales in designated market segments, identify volume and strategic customers, and develop engagements and relationships.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelors degree or higher
- Minimum of 4 years experience as a project manager in Web-based IT projects, OR equivalent experience in a strong, all-around, primary role as a Web master or a Web development project consultant.
- Proven experience working with business stakeholders, processes and Web technologies in an internet/intranet environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with technical and business groups to design and implement solutions
- Ability to define processes and capture best practices
- Ability to identify issues as well as recommend and drive solutions
- Understanding of user experience and user interface design
- Understanding of Web technologies including the use of relational databases
- Must be proficient in standard desktop applications: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint as well as business process flow modeling (Visio).
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE ALSO HAS:
- Experience within an enterprise Web production team such as those found at Cisco or Sun
- Experience with LiveLink, Alliance, Business Object and/or Documentum
- PMP Certification
LOCATION:
This position requires on-site collaboration with a development team in San Jose, CA.
